They\u2019re great for your mental health<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Pets<\/strong>, especially dogs<\/strong> and cats<\/strong>, can reduce anxiety, depression<\/strong>, and help ease loneliness<\/strong>.  When you get home and Fido is there wagging his tail, excited as heck to see you, it\u2019s one of those feelings that fill your heart with joy.  Unconditional love?<\/strong>  Yes, please!  I\u2019ll have some of that!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They keep you physically active<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Both cats and dogs not only depend on us for food and shelter but for physical activity<\/strong> as well. Taking your dog for a 30-minute walk<\/strong> every day isn\u2019t just good for your pupper, but also good for you, too!  In fact, one study found<\/a> that having a cat was shown to reduce your chances of a fatal heart attack or other cardiovascular events by over 30%<\/strong>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
